Full program description

This learning experience is an introduction to Positive Behavior Support (PBS) to prevent and address challenging behavior in children from birth to age 5. It is grounded in the Teaching Pyramid, which emphasizes a strong foundation in building positive relationships, creating supportive environments, and evidence‑based social and emotional teaching strategies. Learners will be introduced to key concepts related to the base of the pyramid and will try out specific instructional strategies that promote social and emotional development.

Throughout this experience, you will actively engage with content in ways that support your long‑term practice. You will also apply what you are learning by observing and working with children in an early learning setting, with support from your instructor and fellow learners.
